(maybe) update

I've decided 2 blogs was too much for me... I struggle lately trying to be creative with even one blog! So I'm directing all my musings to here. Thanks for following along =)

Carter's birthday

I'm still catching up on this past month, in which Carter turned 3!
Here's some fun fall pictures from a few weeks ago

Halloween-Carter loved trick or treating this year. He went as Woody =)

There's nothing that excites Carter more than the prospect of going golfing with Daddy. One time, Aaron went without him, and Carter asked me where Daddy was, and he got really upset that Aaron went without him
Had some fun with our friends at Trafalga one night
And this is how Carter plays skee-ball
For Carter's 3rd birthday, we went to Trafalga again with a few friends. They were so cute =)

Some most of Carter's birthday presents consisted of pirates. He's mildly obsessed
At Grandpa's house, he's loved zooming around on his wiggle car- usually without a coat, and usually without shoes. The kid doesn't care about the cold
trampoline!
We got some much needed snow, and Carter was really excited about it. This year is gonna be fun

He literally BEGS me and Aaron to go jump on the trampoline with him every day. We can't say no
The other day I was trying on pants at a store, and Carter thought it'd be funny to switch shoes. So he put on my boots, and he insisted I tried to squish into his crocs =)

looooong overdue

I know I know, it's been a long time. The computer's been packed away for over a month, and I decided it was time to bust it out again, I have missed it.

House update since everyone is asking:
We are moving to Lehi, into a house we were supposed to close on two weeks ago, then that fell through, and we were set to close again on that same house yesterday, and again, there were issues (none of which are our problems), and NOW the actual, legitimate move-in date is Nov. 27th. It's a long, complicated story and we are beyond frustrated, so I'm not going to get into it. But the good news is that things are in order, and things are looking solid this time. I refuse to be homeless any longer!

So, I've got a lot of pictures and adventures to catch up on, so I'll tackle this a post at at a time =)

This fall:
Auntie Val gave Carter a little violin lesson. And they happened to be matching ;)
The canyon gets me every autumn. My favorite time to be in Utah!

Vivint had a backend party and Carter had a blast
 Arizona:
We made a little trip down to Arizona to visit some of Aaron's family.
Aunt Carol & Uncle John
"Papa" Dave and Grandma Susan at the train park

DISNEYLAND!!
We spent a day at California Adventure and the next day at Disneyland, Carter's first time.
Bug's Land... and one of my favorite pictures ever!

Woody ears.. it was a must ;)
I think one of Carter's favorite things was seeing the characters. He LOVED this Goofy
My cousin Kim lives down in SoCal so she brought her kiddos over so we could play together at Disney!
The Jungle ride... Carter liked this one, but Pirates was definitely one of his favorites
 Winnie the Pooh!

Dumbo... they were a little bummed they got stuck with the pink one haha
Carter LOVED the Buzz Lightyear ride! I think Aaron loved it too, being able to shoot things..
 The Nemo submarine.
 Lego Hulk at Lego Land!
After Disney, we met up with Aaron's cousin and we checked out a little train ride at the pumpkin patch

Check out this ginormous pumpkin! Aaron's cousin decided he wanted to grow a huge pumpkin this year in his backyard, and got this sucker to reach over 300 pounds!
My poor baby will hate me for this one day. But the poor kid had an "accident"- blowout on the road trip home to Utah. Let's just say it was a disaster in his car seat, I had to throw away his clothes, and then had no other clothes handy to put him in, so I wrapped him up in my sweater. He was not happy, and it was pretty heartbreaking. BUT it will make for a funny story one day =)

To be continued.....

Houston, we have a problem

We are no longer friends.
Coming this close to buying a house and living out there permanently is actually kind of scary now that we think of it.
Not that we didn't like Houston, because we did, but the summer just got old and we realllly missed Utah.

SO NICE to be back. And here is where we are staying (yay!)

Here's our last couple weeks out there in the heart of Texas..

The boys lookin sharp for Church. We're kind of obsessed with Carter's wing tips
A frequent visit to Firehouse Subs.. I told Carter to smile, and he winked instead. Silly kid
Carter was dang happy about the "house that almost was." We're sad we don't have that house, because we LOVED it but fingers crossed to getting one out here in Utah County.
Last week in Houston, we tried everything to keep us sane- hit up the parks again

Took Carter to a stranger's birthday party at a trampoline place (Aaron's customer invited us, and we're weird and actually went).
I saw this months ago and refound it and it is just as funny, and even more true =)
Carter is crazy obsessed with Aaron. I think he missed Daddy over the summer, so now Mommy is not good enough, Daddy has to do everything, and he'll always choose to go with Aaron. I really don't mind, because I'm ready for a break too.. just as long as this doesn't end up being a long phase!
Another last trip to Kemah boardwalk

Carter has these wooden play food things, which you cut with this little wooden knife. And he insists on taking that knife everywhere...
And we made it back to UTAH!! My brother Kent just got home from his mission about a week ago, and we got to see him just for a few hours when he and my dad stopped through Utah for a BYU game. He's at the airport with my sister Melanie =)
We crashed at my sister Valerie's house the night we got into town, and Carter insisted Aaron sleep with him (of course) so they slept on the floor!
It's always expensive when we get home from the summer, having to stock up on groceries again, and get back to normal. We made a Target trip, where Carter is still in love with hot dogs. But of course he has to eat them upside down. Not messy at all!

To my shorties out there: Me and Aaron had a good laugh over this and decided it should be hanging in our house somewhere, as our family motto ;)
